Terms

Last updated 25 October 2026

These terms cover your use of Tools (tools.ruytha.dev), free calculators run by Ruytha Studios. They're short, because Tools is simple: there's no account, and nothing you type leaves your device.

Free to use

Tools is free, for personal and commercial work, with no account and no limits. Use the results in your own projects, call sheets and deliveries however you like.

What stays on your device

Every calculation runs in your browser. The numbers you enter aren't sent to us or stored anywhere, and Tools sets no tracking or advertising cookies. The privacy page covers this and the other Ruytha Studios apps.

Check what matters

Results are worked out from what you enter and from typical figures, such as a codec's data rate or a camera's sensor size. Real cameras and recorders vary with their settings and firmware. Before you rely on a result for anything that matters, such as how many cards to bring to a shoot or a delivery's exact running time, check it against your camera maker's figures or your own tests.

Fair use

Don't use Tools to break the law or to attack the service, for example by sending automated traffic to the site. You're welcome to link to it.

No warranty

Tools is provided as it is. We work to keep the calculators correct and the site available, but we can't promise either, and we aren't liable for losses from using it, such as a shoot that runs out of storage, to the extent the law allows.

Changes

If these terms change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Using Tools after that means you accept the new version.
